Renee  is excited about the cheap house that she just purchased for only 45,000 dollars less than 2 weeks ago. Renee happens to have saved up the bulk of her money via working as a cook alongside various military and civilian people on the Norfolk Virginia base. Renee happens to have two kids and shares both career and parenting duties with her husband Brock. Brock works as a housekeeping supervisor at the Hilton Hotel in Norfolk Virginia.

Renee is excited because she is having a four day weekend that is coinciding with a block party that is being held near the house that her and Brock completely purchased outright. The house is only three miles from Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia. Fortunately, one of the homeowners who organized the Block party was able to organize the services of three nannies to look after the children residing on that block. The homeowners raised money from 23 military spouses in addition to themselves for three hours. Some of the spouses were women married to men in the navy and 4 of the spouses were men married to women in the military (both enlisted and officer).

Anyhow, Reenee has two friends that are also going to be at the block party/housewarming party who moonlight as deejays. Shekinah is a friend of Renee’s who works as a cook at the University of Maryland College Park Campus. Renee has another female friend named Samandiriel who works as a overnight housekeeper on the Old Dominion University campus. Both Renee and Samandiriel work as music deejays in their freetime in addition to their jobs.

Shekinah meets up with Renee and Samandiriel at the Norfolk Virginia Greyhound Station. Samandiriel could have afforded the Amtrak station but chose the Greyhound for that day so that she could have more money to hang out with Renee and Shekinah. The party goes off without a hitch as Shekinah and Samandiriel play among the following songs. All three women agree that there is nothing better in the world at the moment than their friendship that is enhancing the fun party.
